Moths found to play role in pollination

Move over bees - it turns out moths also have a role to play in pollination.

In a first-of-its-kind experiment, New Zealand scientists have used a fluorescent pollen-tracker powder in the lab to test whether moths could effectively transfer pollen between certain flowers, including manuka - exposing the secret night-shift of moths.

Plant and Food research associate Max Buxton spoke to Susie Ferguson.
