FinCap calls for changes to debt collection laws

Some people in debt are getting up to six phone calls a day from debt collectors demanding repayment.

There's also distressing text messages and in-person visits, which an organisation working to reduce financial hardship says do not help collectors recover owed money, or those in debt pay it back any faster.

FinCap wants changes to consumer laws to counter unfair debt collection practices.
