The tens of thousands of New Zealanders abroad who missed out on a space in MIQ earlier this month, will have another shot to dip into the lottery later today.
Another 3000 rooms will be released at 6pm - with the online lobby for bookings opening an hour beforehand - which cover slots over the next three months.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway in a trial which will allow a small number of businesses travellers to skip MIQ and self-isolate upon returning from overseas.
New Zealanders Martyn Nicholls, and Hannah Whiston are stranded overseas.
The pair spoke to Susie Ferguson.
