Covid-19: Auckland gets out of the house for takeaways

Life in Auckland has just got a little easier. Five weeks of hard lockdown - can now be sweetened slightly - with a store bought latte and a takeout.

Thousands of tradies are back on the job in the super city and a small number of school students are allowed back in the classroom.

Food outlets can open for pick-up, delivery or drive through - but some are staying closed - arguing level 3 isn't financially viable.

Reporter Jean Bell was out and about in the city.

She spoke to Susie Ferguson.
