Being proud of what she achieved brought New Zealand swim star Sophie Pascoe to tears.
Pascoe joined a select group of Paralympians when she won the 100 freestyle final in Tokyo last night, her first gold of these games but the tenth of her career.
After a silver and bronze medal in her first two events, the 28-year-old Cantabrian was determined to improve at the Tokyo Aquatic Centre and she did, just holding out the fast finishing competition by less than half a second.
