Geronimo, a male alpaca raised on a farm in Taumarunui, is at the centre of a high-profile legal stoush in the UK.
Geronimo was sold four years ago to English veterinary nurse Helen Macdonald. He subsequently tested positive to Bovine tuberculosis in a contentious process - prompting Government demands that the animal be euthanised.
Macdonald argues the regime is flawed and has cumulated a massive groundswell of support during a lengthy court process.
