Covid-19: Queenstown Mayor wants to open up soon

South Islanders are becoming increasingly frustrated at being locked down when there are no confirmed Covid-19 cases on the mainland.

The Prime Minister says there are over 100 close contacts down there, but so far none have come back with a positive swab.

Queenstown has already taken a big financial hit the past 18 months and Mayor Jim Boult spoke to Corin Dann about how the latest lockdown is going.
