An interpreter who worked for the New Zealand Defence Force in Afghanistan says time to escape is running out, as the Taliban go door-to-door looking for those who worked with the New Zealand government.
Basir Ahmad is in hiding in Kabul. He and 34 others from the Provincial Reconstruction Team have been promised a flight out but he told reporter Emma Hatton they are becoming increasingly anxious not knowing how that will actually happen.
