New Zealanders find out today if the Covid-19 lockdown is going to be extended.
A three-day alert level four is set to end tonight for everyone outside Auckland and Coromandel.
So far there are 21 people infected with the virulent Delta variant, all in Auckland, where thousands of people are queuing for hours to get tested.
There are more than 150 locations of interest where the disease could have spread including supermarkets, malls, schools, a university lecture theatre, bars and restaurants.
Cabinet ministers will meet this afternoon to discuss what's next.
