About 900 people were at one of the central Auckland bars on Friday night, visited by someone who has tested positive for Covid-19.

John Lawrenson is the chief executive of the Lawrenson Group, which owns Bar 101 and a host of other hospitality venues in Auckland and Hamilton.
He told reporter Sarah Robson he found out the bar was a location of interest when he read about it in the media.
