Images that show the climate crisis we are in - including of people escaping on ferries from the ongoing fires on the Greek Island of Evia - are like scenes from an apocalyptic movie. But, apocalyptic films often end happily, with heroes saving the day. The footage from Greece is just one scene in a story for which the ending is not yet fully written. In the wake of the damning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report, researchers say it's worth thinking of climate change as a three-act apocalypse film.
