Vaping laws set to make it harder for under 18s

From Morning Report, 8:17 am on 11 August 2021

New vaping laws come into force today aimed at making it much harder for teenagers under 18 to get their favourite nicotine fix.

Dairies, supermarkets, and service stations across the country will now be able to sell only three vape flavours - mint, menthol, or tobacco which are far less popular amongst young people.

Now, the tastier flavours such as peach ice and watermelon will only be at specialised vape-shops, which have tighter security.

Reporter Kirsty Frame has been talking to young vapers.
