Officials are anxiously waiting to see if Covid-19 has spread beyond a container ship berthed in Tauranga.
Mass swabbing is being carried out for the 98 workers who boarded the vessel Rio De La Plata, which contained eleven cases of the Delta variant.
The port workers were out in the community for four days before they were told to isolate and get tested by officials, and only nine of them are fully vaccinated.
