From Morning Report, 7:15 am on 2 August 2021

The popularity of the Labour government's taken a big hit in the latest political poll, as it comes under pressure on a number of fronts including Covid-19 and the cost of housing.

The Newshub Reid Research poll has Labour down 9.7 points to 43 percent, with National inching up 1.7 points to 28.7 percent.

ACT though scored its highest-ever rating in this poll; up 4.2 points to just over 11 percent.
