The third annual Tairawhiti arts festival featuring Aotearoa's top artists and performers is set to spark the east coast alight.
The festival has been growing in numbers and performers since it began in 2019 - where it launched alongside Tuia 250.
This year - will include the return of the light path - Te Ara i Whiti - theatre and dance productions, exhibitions and concerts.
Reporter Te Aorewa Rolleston spoke to the festival director Tama Waipara about the line up - which was announced at an event last night in Turanganui-a-kiwa last night.
