It could be 2022 before the wastewater pipe which has burst twice in the past 10 days in Porirua is properly replaced.
Over the weekend, Ngāti Toa Rangatira put a two-week rāhui on Te Awarua o Porirua because of the sewage spills
The broken main pipe remains in use but it's is a fragile condition, threatening to burst again.
