Canadian sailors to be allowed off navy ship without MIQ

More than 250 sailors will be allowed off a Royal Canadian Navy frigate without having to go through managed isolation.

The HMCS Calgary will visit Auckland early next month - the first visit by a foreign military ship since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Captain Shane Arndell is the Chief of Staff for the Royal New Zealand Navy.
