After a year-long postponement, and all the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Tokyo Olympics finally get underway today.
With the football tournaments kicking off two days prior to Friday's opening ceremony, New Zealand's women's team are among those in action on the first official day of competition.
The men's team follows suit tomorrow night, before the country's rower's pursuit of medals begins on Friday.
