Being held amid a global pandemic, the Tokyo Olympics will be one of the most unique Games in history.
But it's not the only reason the event will be a new experience for many of the New Zealand athletes taking part.
Just under 120 of New Zealand's 211 representatives in Japan will be competing at an Olympics for the first time.
