The winter school holidays are proving to be a much-needed shot in the arm for tourism.
Air New Zealand is calling these holidays their busiest July break ever with well over half a million passengers booked in.
It follows disappointing Australian school holidays after Covid-19 cut quarantine-free travel from New South Wales and Queensland.
