A New Zealander overseas has helped get 20 MIQ bookings for expats desperate to get home to New Zealand, who cannot do it themselves because it's so time-consuming and full of luck.
RNZ has heard from dozens of New Zealanders who say securing an MIQ room - the only avenue to come home - is next to impossible without good fortune or good computer skills.
He is using a widely-used coding 'script' which gives users a few seconds' advantage anddoing it for free - while others are charging over $2000 per passenger.
He told our reporter Jordan Bond he helped one person, then another, and now it has snowballed.
