Crown to defend accusation lockdown was unlawful

The Crown will today defend the accusation that it did not have the legal power to put the country into lockdown Levels 3 and 4. The Court of Appeal has also been told that Director General Ashley Bloomfield should not have granted officials the power to decide what businesses are essential. Former law drafter Andrew Borrowdale is appealing parts of a High Court judgement from last year. Hamish Cardwell filed this report.
