Government's plastic ban plan sees criticism from both sides

Anti plastic campaigners and plastic producers are both critical of the four-year plan to phase out the harmful packaging.

The government's released details of its three-stage plan to delete polystyrene and PVC products from shelves, to protect soils, waterways and the ocean.

It estimates the policy will keep two-billion single-use plastics out of landfills and the environment each year.
