Another day, another set of economic predictions that were way off the mark. The latest stats show GDP up 1.6 percent in three months ended March.
This confounded economists including the Reserve Bank who had predicted possibly negative growth following the previous quarter's contraction of 1 percent.
Most economists had made predictions around the 0.7 mark - about halfway off.
Construction and retail are going gangbusters.
