China launches first space mission in five years

China has successfully launched three astronauts into space, bringing the country one step closer to completing its new space station - the "Heavenly Palace".

The Shenzhou-12 spacecraft, called the "Divine Vessel", was launched with much hype - it's China's first manned mission in nearly five years.

The crew successfully docked seven hours after the launch - a moment applauded by mission control in China.
