Shipping lines skipping NZ, leaving exporters in the cold

Small and medium exporters are facing a crisis getting their products to market and with cool storage facilities full to the brim they're running out of options.

Some big shipping lines are no longer taking forward freight bookings between Australia and New Zealand, abandoning relatively small and remote routes in favour of more profitable ones between China, Europe and the United States.
