A West Auckland GP clinic fears burnout for staff after failing in its efforts to recruit a registered nurse for almost a year.

One of the practice owners says it's failing to compete with Covid-19 vaccination centers, with one job advert promising to pay nurses up to $65 an hour.

The Royal New Zealand College of GP's says there was already a shortage of nurses before the need for vaccinators.
