An attempt to form a coalition government in Israel could be poised to end Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's 12-year term as the leader of Israel.
Netanyahu's chief rival, the centrist politician Yair Lapid, says there are still "plenty of obstacles" as he tries to form a new coalition.
But his chances of success grew on Monday, when the far-right nationalist Naftali Bennett said his party would join the proposed administration.
