Samoa Attorney-General files complaint with Supreme Court

From Morning Report, 6:43 am on 26 May 2021

Turmoil continues in Samoa. Samoa's Attorney-General yesterday filed a complaint with the Supreme Court, claiming Monday's swearing in of the FAST party was unconstitutional.

This came after FAST was barred from entering the parliament building after incumbent Prime Minister Tuila'epa Sailele Malielegaoi directed the Speaker to lock the doors.

The Supreme Court set down a hearing for Thursday at midday.
