Rental car companies struggling to get stock

From Morning Report, 7:55 am on 25 May 2021

Rental car companies are struggling to catch up with tourism's mini-revival because there aren't enough new cars to buy.

Firms trying to restock after slashing vehicle numbers last year face growing wait times to restock, impinging on re-employing staff laid off last year.

They've bought just 2000 cars and campervans so far this year, instead of 20,000 across a normal year.
