Government should have roadmap for migrants affected by shut border - Migrant representative

People affected by the border closure marched on Parliament on Thursday to call for help as the shut border leaves families separated.

The government has so far refused to offer a road-map forward, but the Immigration Minister Chris Faafoi told the House he is still looking at ways to bring more people into the country. 

Restrictions were eased a little last month - allowing the families of critical health care staff and a small number of other highly-skilled workers to come here but only if they have more than 12 months remaining on their visa.
