NZ Rugby chair applauding vote on Silver Lake deal
The Chair of New Zealand Rugby, Brent Impey, was applauding yesterday as provincial unions unanimously approved a deal with US private equity firm Silver Lake. The firm will will get a 12.5 percent stake in the NZ Rugby's commercial interests in a deal worth $387 million. But it's not signed and sealed yet - signoff is still needed from the New Zealand Rugby Players Association. It's not clear how easy that will be. Impey spoke to Corin Dann.
