The Waitematā District Health Board is asking for money to be added to the government 's pledge of $40 million for a new urgent care ward at Waitakere Hospital, with work to start by the end of next year.
Hard on the heels of the announcement, the board's chair, Judy McGregor, was not only invoking Oliver Twist but Cinderella as well.
