Lessons still to be learned for quarantine-free travel - Immigration NZ

There are unanswered questions surrounding how a man was able to fly from lockdown in Perth to Auckland without being stopped by authorities.

It was revealed yesterday that the man changed part of his travel so it would be difficult for airline staff to spot the infringement of pandemic-related travel procedures.

It's unclear whether any penalties will follow the breach.

The Ministry of Health was not available to be interviewed today, neither was Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins, who is on leave.
