Children's Commissioner Judge Andrew Becroft has stepped in after the thirteen-year-old boy asked for his help.
The autistic teenager was removed from his Auckland school after a fight.
Judge Becroft says the case is just one of many and families urgently need a regulatory body that can review schools' decisions.
