Covid cases rise in Fiji

From Morning Report, 6:53 am on 27 April 2021

Twelve new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Fiji, bringing the national total to 36 infections.

Fourteen are border quarantine cases and twenty-two are local transmissions.

Four of the twelve cases are close contacts of the hotel worker who tested positive in Nadi.

The capital Suva is in lockdown while authorities try to trace contacts - especially from a funeral.

Our Fiji correspondent, Lice Movono, spoke to Susie Ferguson.
