Health system changes welcomed by experts

Major changes planned for the health system have been welcomed by patient groups and others involved with health.

The government yesterday stunned many by announcing bold changes, including the abolition of all 20 district health boards.

Former DHB chief, Gregor Coster; a patient advocate for bowel screening, Sarah Derrett; and a Maori health researcher, Jacquie Kidd spoke to Susie Ferguson.
