In the latest case of Covid-19 that slipped through the border the Auckland Airport worker received the vaccine and turned up to every testing appointment, and yet they still caught Covid-19.
The case is a reminder that a small number of people who are fully vaccinated may still contract Covid-19.
Speaking to media yesterday, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was keen to emphasize that while that worker may now be infected, their vaccination protects them from serious illness.
