Hutt Valley students nervous about study from home - Student

From Morning Report, 6:37 am on 13 April 2021

Hundreds of senior students at Hutt Valley High school will be forced to study from home until their classrooms filled with toxic mould are fixed.

Year 12 and 13 pupils will spend two and a half days a week studying remotely, after 13 classrooms, three bathrooms and a dance studio were closed because they were uninhabitable.

The school says it spent years asking the Ministry of Education for funding to repair the leaking roof, but they were never given enough.

Hutt Valley High School's head girl Charlotte Leach told RNZ reporter Charlotte Cook, the students are nervous about studying from home again.
