Taranaki hospitality school opens student hostel to homeless

A Taranaki hospitality school says opening up its student accommodation to homeless people was an easy decision to make.

The Pacific International Hotel Management School is housing about 50 people - including children - in what it describes as a win-win situation for both it and the Ministry of Social Development.

New Plymouth's mayor says it's an indictment on the lack of Government investment in social housing in the city.
