Hospitality businesses on minimum wage rise

Working in hospitality usually means long hours and minimum wage.

But as of today, chefs, cleaners, wait staff and delivery drivers who keep New Zealand's cafes, bars and resturants functioning, will be on at least $20 dollars.

However, there are fears about how this will affect a sector which has already struggled from the impacts of Covid-19.

Jude Messenger from the Bistro in Taupo, and Stephen Pepperell from The Riverhead in Auckland spoke to Susie Ferguson.
