A private Christchurch boys' school has apologised to former students for the college having been frightening and unsafe.
Christ's College began contacting all its old boys after a former student told the Royal Commission into Abuse in Care about abuse and bullying by fellow students in the 1970s.
The school board chair, Hugh Lindo, says many of those contacted since December are also survivors of abuse.
He spoke to Susie Ferguson.
