White Ferns struggles taking a toll on captain

From Morning Report, 7:56 am on 1 April 2021

The New Zealand women's cricket team's struggles this summer appear to have taken their toll on captain Sophie Devine.

While the Black Caps have romped to a ninth straight series victory at home, the White Ferns are still searching for their first of the season.

They have an opportunity to seal a rare series win over Australia this afternoon, when they meet the world's number one ranked side in the third and final Twenty20 international at Eden Park.

As Brenton Vannisselroy reports, the White Ferns hope Tuesday night's last ball victory in the second T20 is a turning point.
