After more than 33 years, two men have finally been held to account for shooting dead a popular publican at the Red Fox Tavern in Maramarua.
Chris Bush was gunned down at the pub the Saturday night of Labour weekend 1987 - and for decades the case had remained unsolved.
But yesterday in the High Court at Auckland, a jury found Mark Hoggart and another man with name suppression guilty of murder and aggravated robbery.
