Contribution of Pacific service people finally recognised

The significant contribution of Pacific service people to New Zealand efforts in times of conflict has largely gone unrecognised.

But now, a new Pacific Islands Memorial, housed in the Pukeahu National War Memorial Park in Wellington, has been unveiled to veterans, families of those who served and community leaders.

Also in attendance were the Prime Ministers of New Zealand and the Cook Islands.
