Experts on one year since lockdown announcement

A year ago today the Government announced New Zealand was going into lockdown urgently, to get ahead of Covid-19.

Decisions outlined by Prime Minister that day placed the most significant restrictions on the movement of New Zealanders in modern history.

Jacinda Ardern said this country was fortunate to still be some way behind most overseas countries in terms of cases.

It was a time most New Zealanders will never forget - including two people who have become familiar faces because of Covid-19.

Wellington epidemiologist Michael Baker and Auckland microbiologist Siousxie Wiles spoke to Corin Dann.
