The Covid-19 pandemic has sparked a wave of serious eating disorders in New Zealand.
Last year, the number of people admitted to hospital with severe physical consequences of the mental illnesses more than doubled in some areas.
An advocate is warning more people will die from the curable illnesses because the public and private treatment providers are overwhelmed by demand.
