National Party co-leader and health spokesperson Shane Reti is seeking expanded access to medicinal cannabis and the licensing of "high quality" domestic production.
It comes as cannabis has again emerged as a topic of contention in Parliament after a poll found just over 69 percent of people support the decriminalising of the drug.
