Covid-19: University tutor roles on the chopping block after loss of international students

Universities are wielding massive cuts to tutoring and casual lecturing jobs.

This on top of the 700 permanent roles universities are shedding to cope with the loss of foreign student fees.

Now, postgraduate students have been left scrambling to compete for a tiny number of part-time teaching roles. They warn that fewer tutors means a lower quality of education.
