Covid-19: Universities cut tutor, casual lecturer roles

University tutors and casual lecturers are facing a bleak year as universities cut back their working hours.

The eight universities are trying to save money to make up for the loss of foreign student fees.

Luke Oldfield from the Tertiary Action Group told RNZ education correspondent John Gerritsen the universities have been cutting casual roles since early last year.
